Jan has a rich background in art, design, and education. She has degrees in Commercial Art (AAS), Television Production (BS), and Communications (MA). Her experience includes graphic design, video production, multimedia development, teaching adult learners, online teaching, and instructional design.
About Grand Traverse Arts
The designer behind Grand Traverse Arts, Janet (Jan) Wilson Oliver, is a native of Traverse City in Grand Traverse County. This region is part of the northern lower mitten of Michigan and is a beautiful area surrounded by Lake Michigan on the north and west. The many inland lakes, rivers, woods, towns, and more make it a great place to inspire creativity, and this website is focused on doing that in a variety of ways.
